About the Role


As a Scrum Master you will be a servant leader and coach for an Agile Team. You will help educate the team in Scrum, and SAFe, ensuring that the agreed Agile process is being followed. The SM will help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
What you will do


Supports the Product Owner – helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
Eliminates impediments – The Scrum Master actively addresses these issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Sprint.
Promotes quality practices – assist the teams in constantly improving the quality of their deliverables and meeting the Definition of Done (DoD).
Builds a high-performing team – Focuses on ever-improving team dynamics and performance. Helps the team manage interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Escalates people problems to management where necessary, but only after internal team processes have failed to resolve the issue; helps individuals and teams through personnel changes.
Protects and communicates – Communicates with management and outside stakeholders; helps protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work.
Coordinates with other teams – Represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS) meeting, and pass information from that meeting back to the team.
Facilitates preparation and readiness for PDP & Scrum events – Assists the team in preparation for PDP Planning, System Demos, and the Retrospectives.
Supports estimating – Guides the team in establishing normalized estimates and helps the team understand how to estimate Features and Capabilities.
Track and report on sprint performance – including team velocity and time to deliver key user stories.
Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and explore solution alternatives
Enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline through appropriate design guidelines and investment advocacy
Actively participate in the Continuous Exploration process as part of the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, especially with enabler Epics
Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context
Work with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level Solution Intent, and the solution intent information models and documentation requirements
Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others
Operate within the Economic Framework to validate the economic impact of design decisions
Work with portfolio stakeholders, notably the Enterprise Architect, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enabler epics
Participate in PDP Planning and Pre- and Post-PDP Planning, System and Solution Demos, and Retrospective events
Define, explore, and support the implementation of PDP and Solution Train Enablers to evolve solution intent, working directly with Agile teams to implement them Plan and develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities Work with Product and Solution Management to determine the capacity allocation for enablement work Support technology aspects of Product & Solution Roadmaps
Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility
Facilitates meetings – Facilitates all team meetings, including (where applicable) the Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Who you are


Ideally certified in Agile methodologies.
Proficient in spoken and written English
With knowledge of Jira & Confluence an advantage
