We are looking for a target-driven Revenue Protection Analyst to work within the Revenue Protection team. This role requires an individual who has the ability to work on their own initiative and develop procedures and processes as the business continues to grow. The role will involve a high level of account reviews, reconciliation, and data analysis. There will be exposure to back-office work on fraud analysis and technical consumption analysis. For this reason, strong numerical and excel skills combined with credit control/customer service experience and energy industry knowledge will be a distinct advantage. You will also be a subject matter expert on complex revenue protection issues and guide our customer-facing revenue protection agents in handling customer queries. Initially, as a team restructures are implemented and completed, explaining complex energy consumption data to customers will be a requirement in the short term. Therefore, confidence in communicating with customers over the phone and via email is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigating and resolving Revenue Protection issues that arise on customer accounts.
  • Resolve customer queries, issues, and disputes promptly and professionally.
  • Meet the agreed performance measures, KPIs, and goal-setting processes on a quarterly basis.
  • Carry out credit checks for all customers.
  • Coordination of technician site visits and comprehensive review & analysis of site visit reports.
  • Liaising with other departments and third parties in relation to Revenue Protection issues.
  • Providing regular reporting to the Revenue Team Lead and Manager on all Revenue Protection tasks and activities.
  • Assisting and mentoring junior revenue protection staff on complex revenue protection issues.
  • Continuous assessment of revenue protection processes with a view to constantly improve efficiency as our business products and customer base grow.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a data analyst/account management environment would be an advantage.
  • Graduates with technical/numerical competence will be considered.
  • Experience in account reconciliation in any setting would be beneficial.
  • Excellent phone manner with the ability to deal with customers in a calm, tactful and professional manner.
  • Proven ability to work to strict targets to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Previous utilities experience particularly within the electricity or gas area would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-directed and organised manner.
  • Excellent numerical skills would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working with a Customer Relationship Management system beneficial.
  • Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of MS Office are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
