Job Description
Our client is well known & established Grocery Store looking to hire an experienced Assistant Store Manager to assist the Store Manager and run this very busy store .
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Working as part of the store’s management team
- Assisting the Store Manager in the day to day running of the store
- Assisting managing a team of approx. 110 people spread across all departments
- Staff training & development
- Ensuring compliance with all legislation applicable to the industry
- Ensuring the store is presented in a professional manner at all times
- Ordering
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail grocery supervisory/ management role within a large supermarket is a must.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong people management / listening skills
- Must have a strong knowledge of store financial reports ( KPI’s , sales revenue reports).
- Excellent communications & leadership skills
- Approachable and making themselves available for the team members
- Extensive knowledge of fresh foods
- Must be fully trained in the principles of HACCP
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Must be fluent in the English Language ( both verbal & written).
- Flexibility required when it comes to working hours ( shift work involved).
